The Kuala Lumpur-based company has continually turned to Shure for all its microphone needs. So when it needed to upgrade its wireless microphone systems, it had no hesitancy in opting for the Shure QLXD24A/BETA58 handheld models, for which 16 channels have been added to its extensive inventory.
‘The QLX-D digital wireless system was the clear choice for our many needs as it provides exceptionally detailed wireless audio in widely diverse and demanding environments,’ explained Jack Gill, managing director of MD Events Asia. ‘On site, it’s vital that we can quickly and easily set-up our wireless systems. As QLX-D can be network controlled via the Workbench software, our working lives have been simplified. The QLX-D receiver makes the RF decisions as the network scan allows us to co-ordinate up to 60 RF channels in 15 seconds. This is really useful for live performances as the RF environment can change a lot before the show starts. It’s also AES-256 encrypted should our clients require privacy. Furthermore, during relatively long events, we don’t need to worry about battery life as the transmitters and receivers can operate for up to 9 hours of runtime.’
