Timothy Thompson named Argosy Console president

WORLD: Argosy Console, a designer and manufacturer of technical furniture for recording and postproduction studios, has named Timothy Thompson as president. In his new role, he will the lead day-to-day operations for the company and will be responsible for implementing growth strategies to extend its reach in the music and film industries, as well as developing key alliances and product partners in other growing market sectors.
‘I could not be more pleased for Tim to become my successor as company president,’ commented founder and director of design, Davis Atkins. ‘We’ve worked together for twenty years and there is no one more capable to lead the company. ‘Tim is not only a talented leader and visionary; he’s a really good guy and a great friend.’
Mr Thompson has served as vice president of Argosy Console since 1995, where he is reported to have interfaced with clients ranging from Major Motion Picture Film Studios and Fortune 500 companies to private installations of recording artists and producers, for both their specialty and custom technical furniture needs.
‘I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to build upon the great Argosy brand legacy that has been built by David Atkins and the amazing team of people who work here,’ enthused Mr Thompson. ‘We are anticipating a tremendous year ahead, and the introduction of several new products featuring advanced ergonomics and of course, innovative designs.’
