Toa strengthens Thai market connections with joint agreement

THAILAND: Vichai Trading (1983) Co Ltd has signed a joint venture agreement with Toa Corporation Japan, creating Toa Electronics (Thailand) Co Ltd.
Opening officially on August 1st with a showroom and headquarters based at Sukhumvit 63 (Ekamai) in Bangkok, the new business entity will aim to increase the Japanese manufacturer’s market share within Thailand, while Toa Corporation Japan believes that the new arrangement will better position it to support Toa’s existing Thai customers in terms of support and servicing. The company’s brand presence within the territory is also expected to benefit significantly.
Vichai Trading (1983) Co Ltd has acted as Toa's regional distributor for more two decades, becoming one of the leading designers, suppliers, servicers and systems integrators of A/V and lighting equipment in the country. As such, the company is no stranger to Toa's vast product range, encompassing pro audio, public address, BGM, CCTV and emergency evacuation systems. In addition to Toa, it also supplies equipment on behalf of AMX, Audio Technica, Biamp Systems, DIS, Extron, QSC, Renkus-Heinz, Soundsphere, Tannoy and Tascam.
The Joint Venture Agreement was jointly signed by Kenji Itani, who is both the president and CEO of Toa Corporation Japan, and Kittisak Sopchokchai, the president of Vichai Trading (1983) Co Ltd.
