VIETNAM: Riding on the success of the inaugural Ravolution Music Festival, which took place late 2016 in Hồ Chí Minh, organiser Anternation recently returned to the city for two nights to stage the second iteration of the EDM festival, headlined this time by Swedish House Mafia and Fedde Le Grand. The sound rig for the previous event was formed from a range of TW Audio cabinets provided by rental company Phuc Thinh and deemed such a success that the German manufacturer’s equipment was called upon once again.
The main PA for the festival comprised 30 Vera36 loudspeakers with a further 16 utilised as out-fills and another six for DJ monitors, which were supplemented by four S33 subs. Fulfilling the demanding low-end needs of the EDM mixes were 17 BSX subwoofers on the front of the stage. Front-fill was courtesy of eight T24Ns and 10 C15 cabinets were installed by the Phuc Thinh team as stage monitors. Power was from nine Powersoft K3DSP, the same number of Lab.gruppen PLM20K44 and a pair of PLM20KQ amplifiers.
