ZJTV expands Imagine Communications infrastructure

CHINA: Zhejiang Radio and Television Group (ZJTV) recently expanded its broadcast facilities to accommodate the addition of three new channels to its television network in conjunction with home shopping company Best One. A previous client of Imagine Communications, ZJTV turned once again to the live production and playout solutions manufacturer as it got set to launch the Best One channels.

‘Imagine Communications is well-known to us, and to the wider broadcast community in China, for its high-quality, reliable baseband video infrastructure products,’ explained Song Yang, director of engineering at ZJTV. ‘We knew that the technology would do what we needed to get the three Best One channels on air, and we received excellent support from Imagine Communications, as we always do.’

The installation reportedly provides the signal processing, monitoring and distribution capabilities needed for accurate frame synchronisation and conversion. It comprised a Platinum VX digital video router and Selenio 6800+ core processing and distribution platform. Selenio X100 Series infrastructure equipment was also implemented.
