40 Kong installs Architettura Sonora

UAE: Nestled on the 40th floor of the H Hotel on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, rooftop cocktail lounge and restaurant 40 Kong has opened its doors with a sound system from Architettura Sonora. The venue was looking for an outdoor system that could withstand the UAE’s weather.
To meet this challenge, 40 Kong opted for a combination of suspended and floor modules from the Italian manufacturer. The 20 suspended modules consist of Small Helmet, Shark, Helmet and Snail cabinets. While the 20 floor modules are made up of Sphere 360 and Short Cylinder enclosures.
The challenge for this installation was to create a sound system that could deliver high quality audio at high levels without causing hearing damage and ringing. The Architettura Sonora solution achieved this by using sound simulations to establish the right propagation angles required and sound pressure levels to create a sound that is only focussed where it is needed.
