Artscape upgrades to Pro X

SOUTH AFRICA: Artscape Theatre in Cape Town has followed the Midas upgrade path by migrating from Pro 9 to Pro X consoles. The sale came through Prosound which has an exclusivity agreement with Midas’ local distributor, ProAudio, to represent the console in southern Africa.
According to Prosound, by taking the upgrade route Artscape has ‘massively extended the lifespan’ of its consoles. The company states that the upgrade also represents ‘a massive cost saving over purchasing new consoles, while having all the benefits of a Pro X’.
Following the sale, one console will be used in the main theatre while the other will be deployed in the opera. The venue can also use its new desks in tandem when more inputs are required.
