WORLD: In a nod to the growing importance of the broadcast industry to the company, Audio-Technica has joined the International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers (IABM). The company cites factors such as market research and intelligence from within the industry, and increased brand recognition as some of the benefits of joining the association.
‘We’re pleased to have joined the membership ranks of IABM – I am absolutely convinced that the move will have a positive impact not only on Audio-Technica, but also our customers in the broadcast industry,’ noted Matthias Exner, Audio-Technica business development director EMEA for Professional Products.
‘By allowing us increased knowledge of the demands of the industry, we will be able to react more quickly and appropriately to develop products to meet customer requirements. And marketing benefits in terms of IABM support at exhibitions including IBC, Cabsat and NAB will ensure Audio-Technica a strong presence and opportunity to meet customers from Europe, the United States, Middle East and Far East at shows over the coming years,’ he continued. ‘Broadcast is becoming an ever more important industry for Audio-Technica, and with new products arriving in 2014, this is an opportune time to become involved with an industry body as active as IABM.’
