MEA: Belgian manufacturer, Audiofocus is celebrating three new partnerships with companies spread throughout the Middle East and Africa. The company has formed relationships with companies in Jordan, Turkey and Kenya.
Starting in Jordan, the manufacturer will now be represented in the country Hanania and Abu Maryam Company. The exclusive relationship began following Prolight & Sound in Frankfurt. Following two months of discussions and presentations, the first demo kit order was placed.
‘They acquired our self-powered Ares 8a line array, the most acclaimed speaker of our range, together with its accompanying sub, MTsub218a MKII,’ said Alexandre Kostenko, sales director at Audiofocus. ‘After the first tests in the Royal Theatre of Amman they contacted us expressing their strong will for exclusive distribution of all our speakers. Having almost 20 years of experience in pro audio and a strong sales network we instantly agreed on terms of the partnership.’
Following this, the company has purchased the entire range of speakers for demonstration purposes and is also planning to host a seminar in Amman on 6th October in order to present the brand in Jordan.
In Turkey the manufacturer has formed an exclusive distribution partnership with Display Sound & Light Systems. This relationship began at ISE and a partnership for the country was agreed following a month of discussions.
‘Hakan Tamer from Display was present during our comparative event in March and right afterwards he purchased our Ares system and Evo series,’ said Mr Kostenko. ‘So far the company has sold several line arrays and the FR-X and CM series are going to be introduced very shortly in large quantities.
‘Display is a well-known company in Turkey,’ continued the sales director. ‘They maintain a strong team and large network in the industry. The Turkish market is eagerly awaiting our new 12-inch line array.’
Finally, Motion Image & Sound has signed an exclusive partnership for Kenya and Tanzania with Audiofocus. While this deal took longer to complete, the new distributor was again present at the March comparative event prior to signing the agreement in July 2015.
‘Their first purchase was 16 Ares 8a cabinets and eight MTsub218a MKII with all accessories for their demonstrations,’ recalled Mr Kostenko. ‘They are also planning to invest in our new line array Ares 12 at the end of the year to complete their touring system.’
Despite the differing markets, Mr Kostenko believes the companies all share some common features. ‘They all offer quick responses and availability for their partners and customers, as well as a will to build a strong network for Audiofocus in their markets. They share our philosophy and our values, and they all have a large network of artists and audio engineers, as well as production, rental and installation companies they can call upon.’
