AVS Hire and Lowveld Sound Promotions unite

SOUTH AFRICA: Both being based in Nelspruit, AVS Hire and Lowveld Sound Promotions would often compete against each other to win work on local events. Amidst the friendly competition, Kyle Nel from AVS and Lowveld Sound’s Sakkie Coetzer began discussing the idea of merging the rental companies in a bid to cater for larger events, recently making it official.

‘Together we can become a dot on the map and we can raise the bar as technical suppliers,’ explained Mr Nel. ‘It’s nice to have back up and a person to second guess with.’

With the staff from both companies integrated, the workload becomes less strenuous for all, while training is said to be easier to accommodate with added manpower. Lowveld Sound and AVS have also made their first combined investment, adding Prolyte H30V trussing and base plates, purchased through DWR Distribution, to their existing inventory.

‘This is a good partnership with great people,’ stated DWR’s Robert Izzett. ‘We wish them all the best.’
