QATAR: Consolidated Gulf Co (CGC) has become the first company in the Middle East to be named AV Provider of Excellence (APEx) by InfoComm International. The trade association awards the APEx seal of approval to A/V companies that it deems practice high standards of training and certification for employees and provide the best possible solutions for clients.
CGC joins almost 50 other A/V and integration companies worldwide that have received this recognition from InfoComm. ‘The APEx mark is much more than a logo; it is a company’s commitment to the highest quality and customer service,’ explained senior director of development for the Asia-Pacific region at InfoComm, Jonathan Seller. ‘We couldn’t be more pleased to see CGC joining the APEx family of the world’s leading A/V firms.’
To demonstrate its level of service and technical capability to InfoComm, firms must build a team comprising Certified Technology Specialists (CTS). CTS certification is administered by InfoComm and is accredited by the American National Standards Institute under the International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission's (IEC) ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard.
‘For us, it's all about delivering the best experience to our customers,’ said CGC’s head of A/V solutions, Vangelis Petridis. ‘We are a very strong team of experienced professionals who have a single goal — to place a big smile on the faces of our clients. Seeking the InfoComm APEx certification is aligned with our mission for the highest quality. As the Middle East’s first APEx-certified company, we feel honoured that our meticulous efforts and attention to detail have been acknowledged by InfoComm. It gives us extra courage to invest even more energy and excitement in delivering the best A/V standard in Qatar.’
