UAE: Shure MEA has recently opened offices in Dubai in order to be closer to its customers in the region, primarily the distributors and distribution centres it already does business with. The new office has seen several members of the existing DIS and Shure teams move into a new facility as well as Chicco Hiranandani join as senior manager.
The new Shure office will be responsible for management of the Shure distribution centres in the region, as well as providing application support, training and seminars for the complete Shure and DIS product portfolio across the Middle East and Africa. The office will be led by Freddy Sicko who has long been involved in sales and management in the EMEA region from Shure's offices in Germany and has now been promoted to the role of general manager Shure MEA.
Moving across to the new office are system business manager Jan Villumsen, who has been working with the DIS brand for almost 18 years and in the DIS Middle East office in Dubai for over 12 years and Remina Santos Castro who will handle customer service and support as well as managing the office. Mr Villumsen will now be responsible for identifying, evaluating and prioritising market leads and new business opportunities within the system and project sales markets.
Mr Hiranandani has spent 10 years in the industry on the distribution side for the manufacturer’s Dubai-based Middle East distributor, NMK. ‘I personally believe that this transition enables me to further develop my knowledge and experience in various aspects that includes product development, manufacturing, client management and more that I expect to discover as I start this watershed in my career,’ said Mr Hiranandani. ‘Eventually, my goal is to work together with the team on developing the markets. This includes market management of existing customers across the Middle East and Africa region.’
‘We are happy to welcome Chicco to the Shure Family,’ said Mr Sicko. ‘With his detailed product knowledge as well as great regional market experience, he will play a major role at the new Shure MEA office, helping to support existing customers as well as developing new markets.'
‘The establishment of the new MEA office in Dubai will increase the presence of the Shure brand and enable us to further develop the market in the region by strengthening the relationships with our local distribution partners,’ said Markus Winkler, managing director of Shure EMEA. ‘As part of this commitment, we will shortly begin holding regular seminars and training sessions. We look forward to welcoming existing and new customers to one of these sessions in the near future.’
