MIDDLE EAST: Clear-Com has had a string of orders from broadcasters in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Turkey.
The first deal is with the Abu Dhabi Media Company. Here the project, which is in partnership with Sony, is a complete talk back system for two studios, explained regional sales manager Ahmed Magd Eldin. The deal is centred on the Eclipse-Omega 128 matrix but also includes integrated digital wireless system, fibre card for the connection and V-Series panels.
The sale was a year in the making, but the serious negotiations lasted for three months before contracts were signed at the end of April. The installation is expected to get underway in July.
The second sale is for an ongoing project with the Ministry of Culture and Information for Saudi TV in Saudi Arabia. Here the company has sold two Tempest2400 2.4GHz digital wireless intercoms each with five belt packs which is the latest technology in Clear-Com’s wireless range of products.
The third sale is for Bahrain TV in partnership with Clear-Com’s regional partner Salam Mediacast. Here the company has sold the Eclipse matrix, V-Series panels, analogue wireless system and party line wired system, the installation is expected to start in June.
The final deal is with Turkish national broadcaster TRT. The broadcaster has invested in a large amount of new kit in recent times as it has been upgrading its production studios. The Clear-Com equipment has been taken for TRT’s Arabic channel where it will make up the talk back system. The manufacturer has sold an Eclipse-Median Matrix 32 as well as V-Series panels and an analogue wireless system.
The deal was signed in May with the installation planned for July. It will be handled by Istanbul-based Sony distributor Teratek Elektronik.
