Control is key for Moda Sahil

TURKEY: The historic club building of the Moda Yacht Club in the Kadıköy region of Istanbul has been restored and converted into the Moda Sahil restaurant. The manager and financier of the venue, Erkan Midas, specifically invited SF Ses ve Işık Sistemleri A.Ş to design, supply and install the venue’s audio system.
The main requirement for the solution was for a clear, high quality and homogenous sound system, but control was also vital. Besides controlling the sound system, the restaurant also wanted the solution to control the KNX-based general lighting system using mobile phones and tablets. To meet this requirement, SF opted for BSS Blu processors with Blu 6 called into action for audio control.
The solution controlled by the BSS processors sees 61 JBL Control Series speakers inside the restaurant with further Control 25 AV outdoor series speakers covering the terrace area. Power is via 21 Crown XLS Series amplifiers.
The historic nature of the venue meant the SF team needed to work with extreme care on the project. As a result, preparing the substructure, installation and commissioning the system took a total of two weeks.
With the restaurant and its customers reportedly very happy with the installed system, SF is now hoping to be involved with future projects at the venue.
