Crestron Masters Conference enables region-wide networking opportunities
Published: MEA

EMEA: The first region-wide version of Crestron’s Masters training, the EMEA Masters Conference, has been hailed a success. More than 150 attendees comprising Crestron service providers, integrators and dealers from 20 countries travelled to Amsterdam’s Marriot Hotel for what the manufacturer deems ‘the largest conference of its kind’.
The event began with a breakfast networking session for those in attendance, followed by opening speeches from Crestron’s global director of technical services, Rich Sasson, CEO Randy Klein, EMEA CEO Robin Van Meeuwen and Fred Bargetzi, CTO. Crestron allowed added opportunity for attendees to network, hosting social events each evening after the day’s training had concluded. The social events are stated to have included a welcome dinner and drinks, as well as evening entertainment hosted at Tommy Hilfiger’s European headquarters, in which the entire lighting system is Crestron controlled.
‘This year’s format with the added time to network with my peers has been a great addition as we can achieve so much value from spending time with each other,’ offered one attendee, Balint Ipcsics of Steamnet Ltd, Hungary.
Training sessions provided included Understanding Crestron Fusion Cloud Features and Architecture, GeoPresence working with PinPoint and NearField Technology, Crestron Networking in the Enterprise, Streaming Products and Fusion. Many of these sessions reportedly ran to maximum capacity, with one seminar achieving a record attendance of 102.
‘It was incredible to have so many people attend,’ noted Mr Van Meeuwen. ‘We are lucky to have so much continued support. I can’t thank our valued customers enough, without them Crestron would not be the company that it is today.’
‘Crestron will always strive to do the best for all those involved in the Crestron family,’ added Mr Klein. ‘This is why education is so important; you can’t program or deploy our equipment without it. With the world of technology constantly changing, Crestron is keeping up with that pace, and our training continues to develop and change in line with this.’
