Darwish Technology wins Double Tree deal

QATAR: Darwish Technology (Modern Home) has won a deal to provide the audiovisual solutions for Qatar’s new Double Tree by Hilton hotel. The hotel is currently under construction, but the equipment has already been specified.

The systems integrator will provide background music for the common areas, restaurants, gym and spa areas and pool deck, as well as A/V control solutions for the meeting rooms, ballroom, boardroom and training rooms and digital signage throughout the venue.

Darwish will supply speakers and amps from Bose, while the equalisation and DSP will be via Biamp Audia units. Inside the hotel Bose DS40F ceiling speakers will be put to use, while external areas are covered by F360P and DS100E cabinets. Added to this will be further equipment from Apart, Extron and Yamaha. The design is for a zoned system with 10 different areas of the hotel covered.

In the meeting rooms, boardroom, training rooms, and ballroom, A/V equipment will include projectors from Christie and screens from Draper. Extron and AMX feature heavily in this aspect of the design alongside Biamp and Bose, while Sennheiser gooseneck, lapel and handheld mics have also been specified.
