Delta lifts the lid on SD12

UAE: Delta Sound chose the Dubai Opera House as the venue for the Middle East launch of DiGiCo’s SD12 console. The Dubai event was part of a string of launches taking place at 10am local time on January 19th in a host of key markets around the world.
The unveiling of a new console from the British manufacturer attracted a high attendance of audio engineers from a variety of rental companies. The event took place in one of the Opera House’s well equipped rehearsal spaces, providing an excellent acoustic environment for this much-awaited launch.
The session was introduced by Delta Sound MD Andy Jackson before the new desk was unveiled by technical support engineer, Mahesh Ramdin. Mr Ramdin then presented an in depth talk on the SD12 before the guests had the opportunity to put the new console through its paces.
‘We were really pleased to be part of this worldwide launch and to have the opportunity to show the SD12 to users in the Middle East on the same day that it is launched around the world,’ said Mr Jackson. ‘I think the new console is the perfect product for this market and based on today we’re expecting a strong demand for it from right across the region.’
While the opportunity to get hands-on with the new desk was the main attraction, Delta also had on show a variety of the manufacturer’s other consoles with its engineers on hand to take users through the key features.
