Delta supports Mötley Crüe

UAE: Delta Sound was called in to supply the audio gear for the recent Mötley Crüe performance at the du Arena. The concert, promoted by Flash Entertainment, was the last overseas stop of the band’s The Final Tour and their final performance outside of the US.
To cover the Yas island site, Delta opted for main hangs of 12 L-Acoustics K1 per side with four K2 per side as downfill. Outfill was covered by a further 24 K1 in two hangs of 12 while Kara boxes configured in four stacks of two with four single enclosures provided frontfill.
'It's the first time we have used K1 as a full main PA setup,' said Delta's Rob Eatock. 'Having four hangs of K1 has certainly made a big difference. The low end coupling is a lot easier to manage across the listening field and is seamless with the K1 Subs and SB28 subs.'
Low end for the solution was via six K1 Subs flown behind each of the main hangs and 32 SB28 subwoofers ground stacked in a cardioid configuration. Power was courtesy of 18 L-Acoustics LA8 Racks with 10 Dom2 amp links.
For the drive rack and local control, Delta supplied equipment from Furman, TASCAM, Meyer Sound, Lectrosonics, Rational Acoustics as well as a DiGiCo SD11 console. The shout and comms system was based around Clear-Com equipment but also called on gear from Shure, Mackie and Sennheiser.
Completing the list of technical equipment supplied by Delta were rigging, power and multicore solutions.
