DiGiCo S21 makes Turkish debut

TURKEY: The first DiGiCo S21 mixing console to be sold in Turkey has been put through its paces by sound engineer Levent Ustuner. The console was sold by the manufacturer’s local distributor, Atempo.

Mr Ustuner used the console for recent concerts by Turkish singer Resul Dindar as well as performances by Mavi Sakal.

‘The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to operate the console thanks to DiGiCo’s new, user-friendly graphical interface,’ said Mr Ustuner. ‘The preamps and EQ’s are fantastic but what really got me was the multiband compressor and how it affected the sound. Also the Tube Drive works great on electric guitars. The band instantly noticed the improvement in their mixes. Above all, with the integrated UB-MADI, recording and doing a virtual soundcheck with just one USB cable is a real winner. Finally, since I am frequently out touring with bands, the compact size of S21 makes it easy to transport, both on the road and flights.’
