SAUDI ARABIA: Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) has begun its new fiscal year with some important DCS 6000 orders from Saudi Arabia.
The first order comes from Princess Nora University (PNU) the purpose-built female university located in Riyadh’s eastern suburbs, and one of many new universities which are currently under construction in the Kingdom. Once finished, the 8 million sq-m site will accommodate 40,000 female students. DIS has received an order to supply 34 digital conference systems with DC 6190P conference units and IR equipment to be delivered to PNU by end of 2010. Area sales manager Chris Hellmuth stated: ‘This is definitely a big challenge for us and in particular for our production, but we have to get used to this as we’re expecting even bigger orders from KSA in future.’
A second deal of comparatively smaller scale has come through the manufacturer’s Saudi partner Electronic Special Equipment (ESE). The company will install 140 discussion units with HM 4042 handheld microphones in the armrests of the Aramco Auditorium in Al-Khobar.
