Energywise introduces Bose Professional to South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA: Durban-based distributor, Energywise, has recently taken on the regional distribution for the Bose Professional range of audio equipment. As part of its plan to introduce the brand to the market, the new partner has hosted the first in a series of events to enable musicians and industry specific cliental to engage with the brand on a one on one level. Dubbed ‘The Bose Experience South Africa’, the event will take place on a monthly basis at various venues.
The first example of this took place at The Chairman in Durban at the end of January. The day was divided into three sessions. The first was for musicians, who were invited along for one-on-one time with the L1 Range system complete with backline supplied by a local music store. According to the distributor, this allowed musicians to ‘test drive’ the line array speaker system in comfort and with a host of instruments at their disposal.
The second portion of the day was handed over to industry specific clientele. Architects, audio visual companies, hotel management professionals, conference facility managers, and engineers were all invited for a seminar with live demonstrations of the Bose Professional Range and L1 Range.
The final portion of the day was open to the public and saw the arrival of a younger crowd. Those who attended were treated to acoustic sessions from two Durban acts, namely NJE and Mickey Burns.
‘We are very excited to launch the Bose Professional Range,’ said Energywise’s Bose brand manager, Debbie Alexander. ‘In a short space of time, the response and excitement has been quite overwhelming. This is an event we will host once a month for the first six months. Once the ball has started rolling, we will re-evaluate after each event to see how we can improve on each and take to the next level.’
The next event takes place on February 26th.
