Fiesta De Los Muertos in Dubai

UAE: Following a successful first summer of staging events at the newly-built Autism Rocks Arena, 117Live has started the Autumn season with a Halloween themed festival, Fiesta De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), based on the Mexican festival of the same name. Assisting with the sound system at the event was Delta Sound.
117Live is planning for the festival to become an annual event. For its inaugural edition, artists such as All Saints, Major Lazer and DNCE performed, as well as Carla’s Dream from Muldovia and Dubai’s own Hollaphonic. Between acts, the interludes comprised light and laser shows an appearance by the The Mariachis.
The Delta Sound team, led by director Al Woods, deployed a large L-Acoustics solution at the event, with Avid Profiles. To manage the setup, DiGiCo SD5 and SD7 consoles were deployed.
‘As the first big festival of the season, all eyes were on the technical delivery,’ said Delta Sound managing director, Andy Jackson. ‘I am delighted to say everything went really smoothly.’
