Flair SFX helps cricket championships go off with a bang

UAE: Recent cricket tournaments in Dubai and Sharjah, staged by the Masters Champions League and the Pakistan Super League, have seen Flair SFX provide suitably explosive special effects. The company – part of the eclipse group – has deployed diverse equipment including flame units, Co2 jets and lasers.
Starting with the Masters Champions League Twenty20 tournament, the company sought to reflect the excitement of spectators with displays including flames courtesy of MagicFX Flamaniac and Super Sunshine units, plus Co2 jets that erupted in tandem with the crowds. Later, the Pakistan Super League premiered on 4th February with a grand opening in which a similar set-up was used, with the addition of a 12W green laser to showcase the PSL trophy. The effects were synchronised with performances from artists Sean Paul and Ali Zafar.
‘The Flamaniac and Sunshine Flames were clearly the crowds’ favourite,’ enthused Flair SFX managing partner Sameer Rahman. ‘It was great getting to support both events and showcase what Flair can do in front of such a large crowd. The overlap between Dubai and Sharjah stadiums was a challenge with the dates of both championships, but thanks to our team we were able to deliver a fantastic show.’
The company is set to return for the PSL closing ceremony at the end of February.
