GSL becomes regional Studer distributor

UAE: GSL Professional has strengthened its relationship with Studer by expanding the territory it covers to the wider Middle East and becoming a regional service centre. The distributor has represented the Harman-owned manufacturer in the UAE for a number of years and the new deal adds in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Iraq and Jordan.

‘The new plans that GSL have in terms of covering territory are very much in line with what we’ve been discussing with them for a number of years,’ said Studer’s Mark Hosking. ‘To have a regional hub of service and spares is massive in the broadcast business, that’s one of the big imperatives that we’ve done here. The quality of the key personnel that have come in to GSL now to address all the markets that Studer want to reach means that it’s a no-brainer for us to reinforce what we’re doing here.’

‘The Studer brand is synonymous with quality so the local representation of the brand needs to match,’ added GSL’s Sam Brandon. ‘We have invested heavily in highly experienced people and, most importantly, a professional local service facility to ensure all systems deployed in the region have exceptional support. We are also committed to providing high level training programmes across the region. As the Harman Professional distributor for the region we operate across all vertical markets and we see great opportunity for Studer in the performance space, large venue, government, education and corporate markets.’
