GSL declares Connect a success

UAE: Dubai-based Harman distributor, GSL Professional, has described its recent Connect with GSL Professional technology conference as ‘a huge success’. The event saw attendees invited to a tour sound seminar or installation conference depending on their specialism.

The installation side of the event saw speakers such as hospitality consultant Ged King from Mediatech, Jaime Albors, Adrian Curtis, Dave Budge and Justin Hankey from Harman as well as a number of the technical contacts at GSL Professional. Meanwhile, the tour sound portion was headed up by Ed Jackson from Harman and Abboud Aljuneidi from GSL Professional. Both events finished with a demo of JBL’s VTX system and the manufacturer’s newly released Eon One, followed by a networking dinner and prize draw. Other products on show included JBL’s new Control 1 Series and Control 80 Series as well as landscape mushroom speakers from the Harman brand.

‘Thanks for the invitation and your hospitality at the event – it was most informative and useful,’ said Jasper Whitaker, CEO of Innovation, who was an attendee at the event. ‘It was a great coverage of topics and presenters organised into an extremely professional conference. I look forward to attending many more of these events in the future.’

‘We were really excited to host this event as it gives us a unique opportunity to discuss, in a closed environment, the challenges we all face in our industry and all of the current and upcoming technology available from Harman to stand up to these challenges,’ added Sam Brandon, general manager of GSL Professional. ‘Unlike an exhibition we had a new, unreleased, product on show for our clients to see, touch and hear. We’ve had fantastic feedback from the attendees and I'm looking forward to hosting the next event.’
