HEC Pro and FBT hit the beach

TURKEY: When the Çeşme-based Sole&Mare beach club recently encountered problems with its sound system drawing complaints from neighbouring residents, HEC Pro was called in to install a new solution. The distributor and systems integrator opted for an FBT setup following sound calculations made using an EASE program.
The audio spill from Sole&Mare was reportedly disturbing hotels up to 5km away, as well as nearby homes. As the beach club brings in DJs from around the globe, an impressive sound system was still a requirement, but with neighbourhood interruption minimised.
HEC Pro’s installation comprised four FBT Archon 112, 22 Archon 110 and four Mitus 218S loudspeakers. A pair of ProMaxx 14A active loudspeakers and two SubLine 15SA subwoofers serve as monitors for the DJs. The system is powered via 16 AX-3000 power amplifiers and mixed by two DMM 8008 digital matrix mixers. A pair of Vertus 604A vertical line arrays and two Vertus 208SA vertical subwoofers have also been deployed on each of the club's piers.
Working alongside an architect who was mapping out the project using AutoCAD software and following the EASE calculations, the HEC Pro team adjusted the heights, locations and assembly of the sound setup accordingly. Following the installation Sole&Mare has reported no further complaints from its neighbours.
