Imagine to upgrade JMC playout

JORDAN: Imagine Communications has won the contract for the HD upgrade at Jordan Media City’s (JMC) playout facility in Amman. The first phase of the expansion will allow the region’s first private media city to add six new ART HD channels to support its growing roster of international clients.
The upgrade will centre on the manufacturer’s Nexio family. The Nexio Amp will provide HD-SDI ingest, preview and playout. While the Nexio Farad provides centralised online storage and shared access for on-SAN editing for Apple Final Cut Pro. Along with the new storage network, Imagine is supplying its Platinum VX digital video router, as well as its monitoring, conversion, synchronisation and test and measurement solutions. The JMC system will also incorporate the Nexio IconLogo high-definition channel branding system.
