La Petit Maison installs Bose

UAE: The newly opened La Petit Maison restaurant in Dubai’s DIFC complex has installed a sound system from Bose.
The installation was designed and project managed by freelance multi-media systems integrator Dominic Calvert, working closely with operations director, designer and F & B start-up specialist Paul Weldon Brown, who was part of the team who set up the award winning Zuma Restaurant & Lounge.
La Petit Maison has been fitted with a high quality distributed sound system with a view to minimise the visual impact of the system on the interior. The establishment has been divided into three zones, consisting of bar, restaurant and terrace. The different zones are controlled via a dbx Zone Pro 640 six input four output digital zone processing system. There is over 1Kw of available power, in the main areas, to ensure sufficient levels of high quality sound for guest DJ's or upbeat functions
Each zone is served by Bose Freespace ceiling speakers and cubes attached to the central column. The three systems in the bar each include four satellite speakers and one subwoofer. To power the system, Mr Calvert opted for amplifiers from QSC and dbx Zone Pro processing with Bose tuning.
While there are DJ and iPod direct input facilities in the main bar, the BGM source for the restaurant is run through a PC equipped with a royalty pre-paid online music service , through UK-based 8track music solutions, which can be remotely accessed anywhere across the restaurant LAN on any terminal using Teamviewer software. It was a four month installation project, and Mr Calvert has recently completed the final tuning of the system.
