Lagos church opts for HK Audio

NIGERIA: The Catholic Church of The Ascension at Lagos International Airport has been equipped with an HK Audio sound system. The solution was supplied through Lagos-based Sound Haus International.

‘Sound Haus handled sound, multimedia and UPS backup power systems,’ said Sound Haus International’s Daniel Uzor. ‘It took exactly 18 months of working with architects, consultants, builders and church tech teams.’

To cater to its audio needs, the church has been equipped with the manufacturer’s Elements solution. Four E 210 Sub AS dual 10-inch powered subwoofers sit in pairs either side of the stage area. Each sub is the base and power supply for three E 835 mid/high units. Completing the solution is a pair of the manufacturer’s Premium PR:O 12 MA monitor speakers on stage.

The church is reportedly very happy with the decision it made to purchase the solution, citing the even levels throughout the hall as a particular benefit.

‘This is yet another impressively high profile HK Audio installation in Nigeria, and although the process is not always straightforward in this part of the world, we’re delighted to see another project come to fruition in collaboration with Daniel Uzor and his team at Sound Haus International,’ said Andreas Mayerl, HK Audio’s international market manager. ‘With its discreet looks and crystal clear sound reproduction, Elements has proved once again that it is the ideal PA system of choice for churches.’
