LAX speakers in use at Asian Beach Games

OMAN: The opening ceremony for the second Asian Beach Games took place at the Al-Musannah Sports City on December 8th with a sound system provided by Chinese manufacturer and official partner to the Games, LAX.
For the opening ceremony the system setup consisted of eight hangs of LAX AT108 8-inch two way line array speakers supplemented by OP318B cardioid subs. The manufacturer was recommended to the Muscat organising committee after successfully supplying the inaugural 2008 Games in Bali.
The 1 million sq-m Al-Musannah Sports City is located approximately 100km from Muscat. It features Olympic-quality sporting facilities, an athletes’ village, main press centre and international broadcasting centre, a four-star hotel, a 400-berth marina, and range of restaurants and retail facilities.
The second Asian Beach Games is a multi-sport event sanctioned by the Olympic Council of Asia held in December 2010.The Games are intended to encourage Asia’s youth to participate in sport and celebrate the vast and varied cultures found across the continent. It aims to uplift national pride and create a festival of cooperation and camaraderie. The Asian Beach Games are composed of a variety of modern sports as well as variations on traditional sports.
