Meyer Sound covers 3 AM Club

EGYPT: 3 AM Club at the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski hotel in Cairo has been equipped with a sound system from Meyer Sound. The solution was supplied by the manufacturer’s local partner, Modern Touch, with Pavillion Architects acting as project consultants.
The system at the venue features eight of the manufacturer’s UPJ-1P loudspeakers with a further pair of UPQ-1P wide coverage speakers and three USW-1P compact subwoofers providing low end. Processing is handled by a Galileo 616.
Pavillion Architects turned to a Meyer Sound solution having used the manufacturer’s products on a previous project. ‘We have worked with Meyer Sound and Modern Touch in Little Buddha Hurghada,’ recalled Yasser Assem, chairman and CEO of Pavillion Architects. ‘It was very professional and became one of Hurghada city’s icons.’
Following this experience, the project consultant decided to call on the brand again for the challenging space that 3 AM Club fills. ‘The space was difficult as it has a lot of columns and is below ground level so the ceiling is not as high as I would like,’ noted Dr Assem. ‘Yet the feedback and flexibility of the technical team has resulted a great outcome.’
With the club now open, Dr Assem reflects on a successful installation. ‘Kempinski is a big name in the tourism industry and it was a very challenging unique project, we are proud to have worked on it. The project has a very unique design and is admired by all guests. We are sure that we shall use Meyer Sound in our future projects.’
