UAE: Dubai-based A/V rental and installation provider, Most High Productions, has become the first supplier in the Middle East to purchase Meyer Sound’s Lyon linear sound reinforcement system. The deal was closed during the recent Pro Light & Sound and includes 24 Lyon linear line array loudspeakers, 12 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements, a Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system, and four of the new MJF-210 stage monitors.
‘I had the opportunity to experience the exceptional headroom and coverage of the Lyon system at a demo and I was blown away,’ said Avril Rodrigues, general manager of Most High Productions. ‘Our company has long been successful in the high-end corporate event business, and in recent years, we have been getting more requests for medium to large concerts of all genres. This new Lyon system is sure to play a key role as we take the business to the next level.’
Lyon has generated considerable interest in the Middle East since its launch. Speaking to Pro Audio Middle East prior to the sale, Mauricio St Martin, the manufacturer’s director of Middle East sales explained why he believed it would be a popular cabinet in the region. ‘I think the majority of events in the Middle East are suitable for this system because there are many outdoor events. With this technology, the long throw and to have this clarity of sound, and in most cases you don’t need delay towers. The headroom on the system is stunning,’ he stated. ‘For rental companies it’s a great investment because you need a lot fewer boxes to cover larger areas for basically any type of event. From live concerts to spoken word, the Middle East has a vast range of events, and a system that can do it all is a must for all applications.’
Most High Productions’ purchase bolsters an existing Meyer Sound inventory that includes the JM-1P arrayable loudspeakers, Mina line array loudspeakers, 500-HP and 700-HP subwoofers, and the MJF-212A stage monitors.
