NMK Academy delivers for manufacturers

UAE: The Academy 5.0 series of training sessions from Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK), has seen a raft of manufacturers head to Dubai to present technical training on their latest solutions. There has been universal praise from the manufacturers for the quality of the audience assembled as well as the opportunity to present their latest products in this format.
Running from mid-April, Academy 5.0 has seen sessions from the likes of Dante, Bose, Shure, DIS, Midas, Clear-Com, Roland, Williams Sound and Mackie.
‘It was a pleasure to bring Midas to such a diverse range of users in conjunction with NMK,’ said Daniel Paine, senior manager, touchpoint applications at Music Group. ‘Over two days, our training covered an overview of Midas and Klark Teknik products, ranging from the Midas M32 mixer to our flagship console – the Midas Pro X. It included console applications and the methods used for integrating all desks and external products, stage boxes and networks. Advanced users got more in depth with the features of the console including collapsed flip and MCA control.
‘Attendees included engineers and integrators which allowed greater understanding of the design ethos in putting a Midas system together, as well tackling systems design questions from advanced users,’ Mr Paine continued. ‘With over 40 attendees - an even greater number than last year - we anticipate that popularity will continue for future Academy training sessions.’
‘It was a great day here at the NMK Academy. We did a full day of training with a very responsive, attentive audience,’ noted Dimitri Metzeltin, marketing and training manager EMEA for Loud Technologies. ‘We had a lot of highlights, new products that are coming or have just been launched, including Mackie’s Reach system and the ProDX small digital mixers that we have coming up. The highlight today was the brand new Mackie Axis system. I brought a prototype here so people could see the mixer. The audience was really excited, usually when you have a really long day of training, people get tired and they stop listening. But they were looking forward to what our Mackie Axis system can do.
‘The hands-on training on Axis lasted for a long time because people were interested to try it out. It’s a great system and it showed how easy it is to use,’ continued Mr Metzelin. ‘Every attendee was happy to see the system because they come from rental companies and installers and these are areas where you can use the complete system.’
