NMK supplies Artes with Tempest wireless intercom system

UAE: Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has recently supplied rental firm Artes with the new Tempest wireless intercom system from Clear-Com.
The deal includes the 2.4GHz four-channel base station, four-channel belt stations and a number of CC-95 and CC-260 headsets. The Tempest system uses the 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) in conjunction with TDMA technology, and avoids the need for licensing and frequency coordination. Once registered to a base station, a beltpack needs no further configuration and roams freely within a single zone area. Other major features include 2xTX Transmission Voice Data Redundancy and its interoperability with Clear-Com and other intercom systems through two-wire and four-wire connections.
‘Artes already use a two-wire wired intercom system for their various events, however a wireless intercom system offers a number of benefits for both the production crew and especially the client’ commented Richie Hiranandani, NMK’s marketing manager. ‘After analysing the options available, the Tempest system from Clear-Com was the best solution for a wireless intercom system due to its features and use of the 2.4GHz frequency band.’
