PMC Speakers to begin seminar tour in South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA: PMC Speakers is beginning its Hear More Tour of seminars in South Africa, before taking it around the world. The tour will highlight the manufacturer’s professional studio products, including the IB1S-AIII three-way active and IB1S passive monitors, and will be hosted in conjunction with its South African distributor, Benjamin Pro Audio.

The tour starts on 8th August at Cape Town’s Digital Forest Studios and moves across the capital city, stopping at the Academy of Sound Engineering on 10th August. Pop Filter Studios in Pretoria hosts the next seminar on 12th August, and the following day will see it hosted by Howard Audio in Johannesburg on 13th August. The final leg of the tour is at the Johannesburg’s Academy of Sound Engineering in on 15th August.

The events are free to attend and will be presented by PMC’s export sales manager, Chris Allen. Registration is required.

‘Attendees will be able to hear a variety of material through a range of PMC products so that they can experience the full capabilities for themselves,’ explained Mr Allen. ‘We’ll be getting under the hood of our unique ATL monitor speakers to explain how and why we design monitors the way we do, why we focus so heavily on hand-built quality and the massive benefits our approach brings to professional users.’

Those who attend will be given the opportunity to discuss studio monitoring with a recording professionals. Guest speakers will be making appearances, including head of Troye Lilley Mastering, Troye Lilley, and Kelsey Mastering’s Rogan Kelsey.

‘These seminars are designed to appeal to a wide range of attendees,’ added Mr Allen. ‘From those who are already making a living in this field through to students who want to learn from the professionals.’
