Positive growth figures for OutBoard

WORLD: OutBoard has reported record sales growth in its 2102/13 financial year. All product lines have reportedly seen significantly increased business, including the flagship TiMax SoundHub and Tracker audio showcontrol systems as well as Out Board-branded LV&DV Chain Hoist Controllers and PAT4/CAB5 automated PAT and Cable Test Processors.

‘Overall we’re up more than a third on last year,’ notes director Dave Haydon. ‘TiMax sales have been strong in Europe especially Germany, Austria and Switzerland where we have also had more rental jobs than in any previous summer. There has been a surge of sales in the USA and China and we’re just starting to break into Latin America. We’re also anticipating our new MADI64 and Dante64 Connectivity products will consolidate interest in TiMax and also help open new doors for us in the coming year.

‘Our LV&DV chain-hoist control workhorse goes from to strength to strength, not least due to the solid commitment of UK Main Dealer AC Ents who have developed sales and support to premium clients such Actus, ELP, Panalux, Birmingham NEC, and HSL,’ he continued. ‘We have also seen international business increase in places like Dubai and Eastern Europe, plus a massive system package going to the Sochi Winter Olympics with Unusual Rigging to support ceremonies and broadcast infrastructure.

‘We’ve also expanded our PAT4 Test Processor customer base and product range with the help of development and marketing associates Data Strategy, adding the new 125A 3-phase PAT4 Tester Processor – an industry first – which has just shipped to Warner Brothers studios production lighting division,’ said Mr Haydon. ‘The PAT4 range of single- and three-phase testers with add-on CAB5 cable-test modules, along with Data Strategy’s QC-Check automation and database logging software, seem to be now regarded as the market leader in electrical safety testing and quality management for production and presentation equipment rental inventories.’
