Prosound hosts EV showcases in South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA: Prosound recently hosted Electro-Voice workshops in Cape Town and Durban. EV’s Markus Schmittinger, who is responsible for the marketing of portable speakers, microphones and mixers in Africa, joined the Prosound team and presented a showcase of EKX, ZLX and ZXa1 systems, which the manufacturer describes as the ‘the most powerful family in portable sound’.

The session in Cape Town took place at the Fugard Theatre in the city’s District Six and welcomes guests from the MI and audio install industry, as well as local DJs and musicians. The presentation given by Mr Schmittinger appeared to strike a cord with the guests, as he noted that, ‘the customers attending our shows and the ones we visited seemed to be waiting for our message and were absolute enthusiastic about the performance of the EV products.’

Over in Durban, the workshop took place at The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at Howard College. Mr Schmittinger was joined by EV regional sales manager, Mario Bentley, who commented that, ‘the Electro-Voice portable range meets expectations of every market segment and different user types and applications, therefore it was important to show the customers a first-hand account of this in action.’
