Provision offers rigging training at DWTC

UAE: Provision AVL is hosting a rigging course at the Dubai World Trade Centre in coordination with Prolyte and Rhino Rigs. The five-day course will be presented by master rigger, Rinus Bakker and runs from August 28th until September 1st. The training will cover the basics of rigging, including calculations, slinging, and safe rigging for temporary structures in entertainment.

‘Health and safety of temporary structures in entertainment is and has always been an important factor. The course will highlight major points of safe rigging, give a glimpse of what went wrong in stage collapses throughout the years, and focus on the do's and don’ts of rigging methods,’ explained Provision AVL general manager, Kevin Boujikian. ‘Any rigger or technician who's interested in safe and correct rigging can attend. Any company who has riggers who aren't certified are highly recommended to send their riggers to the course. Experience in rigging is not required though.’
