Qvest partners with V-Nova

WORLD: Broadcast-focused systems integrator with operations in Dubai, Singapore and Germany, Qvest Media, has entered into a strategic partnership with V-Nova for its Perseus video and image processing codec.
'With Perseus, V-Nova meets the challenge of constantly increasing amounts of data and ever higher data rates,' said Daniel Url, managing director of Qvest Media. 'During the first review of the technical information about Perseus, we were very curious. Because until now it had been virtually impossible to demand a low bit rate, very low latency and, at the same time, high image quality from a codec. However, a live demo and subsequent technical analysis have completely convinced us. In our opinion, Perseus is an obvious pioneer in codec and compression technology.'
'With Qvest Media we have found a strong partner for bringing our products to a large base of enterprises for professional solutions,' said Guido Meardi, CEO and co-founder of V-Nova. 'We are convinced that we will be able to gradually expand our activities in the broadcast and media environment thanks to the extensive network that our new partner enjoys with manufacturers and users in this industry.'
'Since its award-winning NAB 2015 debut, Perseus has transitioned from being a ?novelty? to an established commercial ?reality? at IBC,' added Eric Achtmann, V-Nova executive chairman and co-founder. 'Global distribution and support through Tier-1 players, such as Qvest Media, are a testament to Perseus' growing commercial importance and that it will be driving customer value for the long-term. We are just at the beginning of the Perseus story.'
