Reel Cinemas to open Dolby Cinema locations

MIDDLE EAST: As previously reported, all branches of Emaar Entertainment’s Reel Cinemas chain in the Middle East are to be equipped with Dolby Atmos. Further to this, Dolby has revealed plans to open several Dolby Cinema locations throughout Reel Cinemas portfolio in the region.
The initial Dolby Cinema sites as part of the arrangement are scheduled to open later this year, with the Dubai Marina Mall and the flagship Dubai Mall branches set to be among the first. ‘We are thrilled to be the first cinema chain to bring the Dolby Cinema premium experience to moviegoers in the Middle East,’ said Adon Quinn, senior director at Reel Cinemas.
‘This marks another milestone for Dolby Cinema as we expand our global reach,’ said Doug Darrow, senior vice president, Cinema Business Group, Dolby Laboratories. ‘We look forward to working with Reel Cinemas to bring spectacular movie going experiences to audiences.’
