Robin DL4S to fly at Market Theatre

SOUTH AFRICA: The Market Theatre, located in the inner-city suburb of Newtown in Johannesburg has invested in eight Robe Robin DL4S Profiles. The Czech lighting manufacturer’s South African distributor, DWR Distribution, confirmed the sale.

The upgrade to an LED lighting solution was decided upon by the theatre to ultimately save on costs and reduce the time spent on maintenance.

‘The gobo set and the framing shutters makes this an extremely versatile fixture for theatre,’ said Kevin Stannett of DWR Distribution. ‘Because of the RGBW chip you get extremely rich and high-intensity colours. We are finding that this particular fixture is receiving positive feedback from theatres worldwide and it’s a privilege to now supply them to the Market Theatre.’

‘While we are yet to hang the fixtures on the lighting grid, I know that once they have been programmed they will work wonders and bring magic to our stage,’ Market Theatre head of lighting Nomvula Molepo commented.
