S21 arrives in Durban

SOUTH AFRICA: AV Company has become the first rental firm in Durban to own a DiGiCo S21 digital mixer. The company purchased the console from the British manufacturer’s South African representative, DWR Distribution. In addition to the S21 surface, the sale included a D-Rack stage box, which features 32 inputs and 8 outputs, a DMI (DiGiCo Multichannel Interface) Cat-5 module and a 75m Cat-5e cable.

‘We purchased the DiGiCo as that desk had the most to offer us,’ explained AV Company director Craig Browning. ‘It's on the majority of tech riders as an international desk, is user friendly and all the engineers we work with know it, so it made sense for us go in this direction.’

‘We have been working with Craig for a while now,’ said Kyle Robson, DWR’s DiGiCo sales representative. ‘Once him and his team got a chance to play with the S21 in a live environment, it sold itself. The guys at AV Company are very excited and we look forward to hearing about the amazing gigs they will do with the console.’
