Se7en Productions opts for Midas Pro6 in new HD OB truck

UAE: Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has supplied a Pro6 Live Audio System to Se7en Productions for its new HD OB truck. The system is the second Pro6 in an OB truck globally and the tenth Midas Pro console in the Middle East.
The Dubai-based production and events company acquired its High Definition (HD) truck over the summer and has refurbished the audio room with the console. Se7en aims to use its new facility to cover the region’s major events including sports, live performances and national celebrations. It is the first OB truck in the Middle East to be fitted with a digital Midas console. The manufacturer believes that features such as the redundant power supplies, redundant processing and the redundant links make the desk suitable for the broadcast environment.
‘The system supports 5.1 mixes out of the box as their truck is HD and it also allows them to have their own mix at a concert rather then relying on the mix from FOH,’ commented Richie Hiranandani, NMK’s marketing manager. ‘For broadcast applications the Pro6 provides great flexibility and more importantly confidence to Se7en as the system is both modular and redundant on various levels.’
