SGTC hosts Q-Sys training in Dubai

UAE: Dubai-based QSC distributor, Super General Trading Company Professional (SGTC Pro), recently conducted a three-day seminar and training programme on the Q-Sys integrated systems platform. Supported by QSC’s Joe Pham, David Fuller and Glen Harris, the workshop was open to systems integrators and consultants and was declared ‘a complete success’ by SGTC Pro division manager, Simon Daniel.
Commencing with a full-day seminar on February 15th, the two-day Level 2 Q-Sys programme followed on February 16th and 17th. With attendance totalling 16 full Q-Sys workstations, students were given one-to-one tuition on advanced topics including public address, teleconferencing (AEC, softphone and proper gain staging), third-party control, advanced user control design, GPIO integration, networking troubleshooting and core-to-core control.
The education market in the UAE is reportedly proving highly popular for SGTC and Q-Sys, with the system having recently been installed in a host of schools in the region, including the Canadian International School Abu Dhabi. Following its success, SGTC is planning a repeat workshop later in the year.
