Sharjah Theatre Group goes with Sennheiser

UAE: The Sharjah Theatre Group has recently selected a Sennheiser simultaneous translation system to be used over the group’s various locations within the Emirate.

The complete system, which was supplied by Venuetech, comprises of a four language plus floor configuration. The interpreters use the SDC-8200 ID unit which is fed into the SDC-8200 central unit and relayed through the SI-29-5 modulator before being distributed to the HD-1029 receiver via the two 10W SZI-1029 infrared radiators. As the SDC-8200 system uses digital audio data, the system also requires an SDC-8200 AO to get analogue audio outputted to a recording device. The interpreter management is provided via the SDC-8200 IM software.

Sharjah Theatre Group is responsible for the running and maintenance of all the government theatres within the Emirate including the National Theatre of Sharjah, The Cultural Palace and Sharjah City Hall at Sharjah University. All of the Group’s locations will see the benefit from its new translation system as it has been designed to be portable.
