Showtech supports The Bellamy Brothers

UAE: Howard and David, better known as The Bellamy Brothers, recently played in Dubai at the Emirates Golf Club as part of their 40th Anniversary World Tour. Showtech supplied the entire A/V, lighting and trussing setup for the gig.

On the audio side, the main PA comprised 16 JBL VTX V25 tops flown in an L-R configuration, 12 VTX S28 bass units and eight VTX V20 tops. Crown I-Tech 12000HD amplifiers powered this solution and control was via an Avid Venue Profile for the opening act and a SoundCraft Vi7000, which served as FOH mixer for The Bellamy Brothers.

For stage monitors, 12 VTX M22s were deployed. Joining those on the stage were a pair of 18-inch RCF subs and four Crown amplifier racks. JBL SRX725 and SRX728 cabinets were employed as side-fills and these were powered by a pair of Crown amp racks and mixed using a Venue Profile.

For lighting, Showtech deployed an MA Lighting grandMA2 and an MA Digital Dimmer Rack 48 to control the ETC Source Four profiles, Robe MMX Spots, Claypaky Sharpys and Alpha Washes, LED battery lights, Showlyte LED washes and PARs, as well as MDG Atmosphere Haze, DMX Pro fan and DTS four-way blinder systems. Showtech also constructed the roof truss for the stage, measuring 8m x 14m x 11m.

The stage backdrop was formed from 40 sq-m of P3 LED panels, delivered with Dataton Watchout multi-display PC software and an Analog Way Ascender 32 switcher. A pair of Panasonic 13k HD projectors were also provided to supply content to the two 7m x 4.5m screens to the sides of the stage.
