Shure calls for musical legends

MEA: Shure EMEA has launched the Call for Legends – Live competition, with registration running from 1st September to the 22nd December. The contest is open to all bands within the Middle East and Africa, as well as those in Europe. To join in, bands need to upload a profile on the dedicated website – call-for-legends.eu – and include a YouTube video demonstrating their performance skills.
The winning group will receive €5,000 worth of Shure equipment and the chance to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival. The performance will be recorded by a professional video crew, with each band member receiving a copy.
Following the registration period, bands with more than 50 votes on the website after 22nd December will be added to the shortlist, which will then be judged by a panel comprising of UK indie band Blossoms and representatives from the Montreux Jazz Festival and Shure. The panel will select the winning band, as well as those that place second and third, which will win €3,000 and €1000 worth of Shure products respectively.
