SLS covers the du Forum

UAE: SLS was engaged by Flash Entertainment to cover the recent performance by Filipino star Sarah Geronimo at the du Forum on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The Dubai-based rental house supplied its JBL VerTec system for the concert.
Catering for the audio, SLS opted to use 12 VerTec VT 4889 tops and 10 VT 4880A subwoofers. An extra four VT 4888 tops were used as front-fills. Power for the system came courtesy of Crown amplifiers, which were controlled via a Yamaha LS9 32-channel digital console at front of house. Shure took care of sound capture, with three UR4D wireless receivers and a Shure headset mic plus six SM58s. On-stage monitoring was provided courtesy of six Martin Audio LE400 monitors which were powered by two Crown amp racks. Four XTA DP226 processors managed the entire system, with additional adjustment from a single Klark-Teknik DN360 graphic EQ. Additional FOH effects came via a TCM 3000 and Lexicon PCM91.
The concert also replied upon a substantial lighting setup to create a vibrant atmosphere on-stage. SLS supplied a total of eight Fresnel 2K fixtures, seven Clay Paky Spot1200 moving heads, 14 Cyclops moving head wash lights, 16 Clay Paky Sharpys, 12 Parcan Narrow spots and four Molefay 4 Lites. Two Lycian follow spots kept track of the action onstage, with control provided courtesy of a full-size MA Lighting Grand MA2.
Video was provided via four Sony DSR 400 video cameras combined through a Panasonic vision mixer and a Soundcraft MX16 16-channel analogue desk. A 6m x 4m, and two 4m x 3m screens displayed images from Sanyo 15k and 8k projectors with a further two Panasonic 32-inch LCD screens used as a teleprompter for the performers on stage.
