SLS increases Absen screen inventory

UAE: Dubai-based rental company, SLS Production, has increased its stock of Absen screens with the purchase of 200 sq-m of the manufacturer’s A3 LED screen. The purchase was made following a factory visit by SLS managing director, Martin Luiz.
SLS has been using Absen’s S6 LED screens for around three years, and it is this experience that led to the new purchase. The custom made A3 screen has a 3,850Hz refresh rate and can reportedly be used for TV and studio shoots without flicker. Further to this, the panels are magnetic and can reportedly be replaced within seconds in case of a faulty panel.
SLS describes the new panels as costing ‘40 per cent more than other products in the market’. With this increased cost, the company puts the decision to invest down to wanting ‘a product that can be trusted’.
The company has also made inventory additions on the lighting side. It has purchased 48 Clay Paky Mythos, 24 of the Italian manufacturer’s A.leda B-Eye K20s and 120 Peak Teck 36 x 18W LED Pars.
