TechnoQ makes largest single Middle East UHF-R purchase

QATAR: Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK) has supplied Doha-based systems integrator TechnoQ with the largest single purchase of Shure UHF-R wireless microphone systems for a fixed installation in the Middle East.

The mics will be used for TechnoQ’s project at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), which will be opening in 2011. The QNCC is the country’s new state of the art venue for regional and national conventions, exhibitions, gala events, concerts, weddings and banquets. It boasts 40,000 sq-m of exhibition space, a conference hall for 4,000 delegates, a 2,300 seat lyric style theater, three additional tiered auditoriums and a total of 57 meeting rooms.

As part of the deal, NMK supplied the systems integrator with a Shure wireless system consisting of 56 receivers, 56 handheld transmitters and 56 bodypack transmitters.

‘With 56 channels of UHF-R, this is the largest single purchase of the Shure wireless system that is implemented in a fixed installation,’ commented Richie Hiranandani, marketing manager at NMK. ‘More importantly, TechnoQ has chosen the right solution for such a prestigious project like the QNCC as the UHF-R is an industry standard for venues that demand both reliability and high performance.’
